Helen has been working extensively in the field of complementary medicine since 1997. Helen graduated with a BSc (hons) degree from the University of Westminster in Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, and also received a full scholarship to complete postgraduate training at the China Medical Hospital University in Taichung, Taiwan.

Helen also gained her Master of Science at the University of Westminster where she conducted research into the effectiveness of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of lymphoedema. The pilot study showed that acupuncture and moxibustion was effective in reducing the limb volume, fibrosis and the symptoms associated with lymphoedema

Helen was invited to give a poster presentation of her research at both the British Lymphology Society conference in Birmingham October 2015 and at the 18th Acupuncture Research Resource Center (ARRC),Kings College, London in March 2016. She was an invited speaker which was hosted by the by British Journal of Community Nursing at the 3rd National Lymphoedema Conference in March 2016.

Helen has undertaken post-graduate training in the treatment of gynecological disorders, including menstrual disorders, male and female infertility and IVF assistance with Jani White. She has a keen interest in natural fertility, IVF and oncology treatments and fertility. Helen has a keen interest with the Pulse and has undergone further studies with Dragon Rises in Sweden, Edward Obaidey in Barcelona and Masakazu Ikeda in London. Helen completed her studies in Chinese Herbal Medicine with Andrew and JulieAnn Nugent in Switzerland.

Helen has undergone further studies with ‘ The Barral Institute’ undertaking their Visceral Lymphatic Balancing course and went to Portugal to learn the Brazilian version of MLD with Renata Franca. When treating for Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) she will use a combination of all 4 styles which includes Vodder as each technique will complement the other, and the results or draining excess fluid is achieved much faster.

Helen is fully insured and a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the leading professional body for acupuncturists in Great Britain, and a member of MLD UK.
